Technology and Schools






As technology continues to change and dominate our daily lives, questions and doubts persist in regards to the benefits of it in the public school system. Many schools district build their curriculum from research based findings in order to substantiate them and also to meet Federal and State mandates, such as the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). Technology has not been in the education system long enough to provide research based findings to defend its use. Society continues to demand more technological advances and it seems naturally to educate students with the current technology in use to prepare, engage and motivate them for future success.

Many schools continue to lag behind in performances measures especially in Math and Science. The English as a Second Language (ESL) population continues to grow challenging teachers to reach a diverse student population. It is necessary to use sophisticated tools to build large scales buildings and bridges one can easily concluded that more advanced tools are needed to reach struggling and diverse learners in education.
